Splicing Solder-Shrink

Splicing solder shrink is used for a robust, water proof and insulated connection of two (or more) wires. The heat shrink has a ring of solder in the inner center. Inside the heat shrink, on the left and right side of the solder, there are 2 rings of hot glue. Connect two uninsulated wire ends and move the part with the solder ring over this connection. Once you heat up the heat shrink with enough heat, the solder will liquify (soldering the wire connection), the 2 glue rings will melt (creating a water proof barrier) and the heat shrink will shrink (protecting and stabilizing the connection).
