Cable Sleeving MICRO
MICRO is the smallest MDPC-X cable sleeving size.
- MDPC-X MICRO sleeving covers a diameter range from ~1.5 mm to ~4.0 mm. On very short distances you can get this highly expandable cable sleeving over objects of ~4.5 mm in diameter.
- All technical properties, features and advantages of our sleevings are described in the CABLE SLEEVING category.
MICRO sleeving is typically used for single wires in the diameter range between 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm, when SMALL and XTC sleeving are already too big, even if stretched lengthwise. It is also highly useful to bundle two very thin wires (like our 23-AWG) in one MICRO sleeving.
You will find great advice and inspiration about working with MICRO sleeving, very small connectors and crimp terminals, by looking at our sleeving guide: Making custom cables for PCIe-5 12VHPWR.
This size can also be very useful when used in its high expansion state, if your object has an outer-diameter between 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm. Remember that the original length is reduced to 50% if a sleeving is used at its maximum expansion state.
Last but not least: MICRO sleeving can create highly interesting looks when used as the upper sleeving layer on a 2-layer-sleeving-style custom cable, because of its unique weave structure. Be creative!
